Go-Ahead London is the capital’s largest bus operator, and we employ the overwhelming number of our 8,000 people at 17 garages, mostly in South East, South West, North East and East London. An award-winning company with a well-regarded industry reputation, we have opened three new garages in the last five years and run a quarter of London’s iconic red bus network on behalf of Transport for London (TfL) using 2,450 vehicles.
The company currently has a vacancy for a Stores Person. The successful applicant may be required to work at any Go-Ahead London location. There may also be opportunities to work overtime.
The main duties of this post are:
Applicants must be able bodied as the role will involve lifting and moving parts and must be in possession of a FULL driving licence, with a sound knowledge of computer packages. Staff may at times be required to work unsupervised and must therefore possess the relevant initiative and drive to work on their own.
The successful applicant will be asked to serve a probationary period. Additionally, the applicant will be asked to achieve accreditation under the NVQ scheme for the stores staff after the probation is passed and will be required to work 38 hours per week. The pay grade for this post is (GH02 £725.26 per week).
