Who are we

Go-Ahead London is seeking experienced and dynamic Account Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our major commercial Accounts. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the services, with a focus on achieving operational excellence and delivering a customer-centric experience. As Account Manager, you will have direct responsibility for a team of Drivers, working closely with key stakeholders, including the customer(s), to meet Account KPIs and uphold the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day garage operations, acting as the first point of contact for Drivers and the customer.
  • Foster a positive and engaged team culture through regular interaction, training and support.
  • Be the main point of contact for the customer(s), be based on site (E15 2GW) and attend regular meetings with the customer and their teams.
  • Delivery of quarterly performance meetings with a focus on service performance and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee all aspects of fleet management, ensuring vehicles meet safety, presentation, and compliance standards, liaising with local engineering teams to ensure these targets are met.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address operational issues, including lost mileage, driving standards, and attendance management.
  • Liaise regularly with the Commercial Control Centre, Engineering Supervisors, and other departments to resolve emerging issues and maintain service quality.
  • Monitor and enforce health and safety standards on the service.
  • Manage driver resources, including scheduling and leave allocation.
  • Work to Go-Ahead’s and the customer(s) core values.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contractual and operational management, preferably within a Public Transport environment. You will be an effective leader with the ability to engage and motivate your team, driving performance and delivering results in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. Your approach will be flexible and adaptable, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on safety, customer service, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering first class service excellence.
