As a Ferry Driver, you will be a key part of our operation, ensuring our bus drivers are transported safely and efficiently between Northumberland Park Bus Garage and various locations at the start and end of their shifts.

Driving a non-PCV company vehicle (maximum 8 passengers), you will follow a set route and timetable, providing a professional and friendly service while ensuring the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transporting bus drivers between designated locations, following the set route and schedule.
  • Providing excellent customer service to colleagues, assisting them with queries about ferry timings and stops.
  • Ensuring a safe and comfortable journey by adhering to all company driving and safety policies.
  • Carrying out pre-service vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
  • Maintaining a high standard of driving and complying with all road safety regulations.
  • Always acting as a professional ambassador for Go-Ahead London.

Qualifications

  • A valid Category B (car) driving licence with a clean record.
  • Able to pass a suitable driving assessment and medical.
  • A responsible and reliable individual with a strong focus on safety and customer service.
  • A friendly and professional attitude, ensuring a positive experience for all colleagues.
  • The ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, as part of a rotating schedule.
  • Strong time management skills, ensuring adherence to the set timetable.
