Schedule Compiler 

Location: Merton Head Office London 

Hours: Full-time 

Salary: £48,951

At Go-Ahead London, we are leaders in providing reliable, efficient, and innovative transport solutions for our city. We’re looking for a highly focussed Schedule Compiler to join our dynamic team, where you’ll play a pivotal role in optimising schedules for a large network of bus routes that keep London moving. 

What You’ll Do: 

As a Schedule Compiler, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, using your expertise to: 

• Compile:  Time and duty schedules and rotas for current and future services. 

• Collaborate: Working as part of a skilled team delivering schedules to time critical deadlines. 

• Innovate: Review and seek to improve schedules that meet evolving operational and tender requirements. 

• Monitor and Improve: Identify areas for schedule enhancement, ensuring our contractual obligations are met. 

• Engage: Produce a range of internal schedules documentation for new contracts as well as routine schedule changes 

What You’ll Bring: 

We’re looking for someone with: 

• Strong Communication Skills: To effectively share scheduling information with teams at all levels. 

• Problem-Solving Ability: A logical thinker who can tackle unexpected challenges with creativity and flexibility. 

• Organisational Excellence: Able to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards. 

• Attention to Detail: To consistently ensure accuracy of schedules.  

• Knowledge and Interest: Enthusiasm for the transport industry, with a basic understanding of schedules and rota compilation (training provided). 
• Relevant Experience: At least two years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
  

Experience in the London tendering market or knowledge of relevant regulations, such as the Working Time Directive, is a bonus but not essential.
