This role is open to internal applicants only and is ideally suited to current Driving Instructors, Driver Mentors, or experienced drivers who are ready to take the next step in their career.

  • Responding to concerns: Act on poor assessments or reports from TfL, providing coaching where needed.
  • Driving standards forward: Act as a champion for safe, customer-focused, and compliant driving across the network.
  • Collaborating across teams: Work closely with Operations, Training, and Road Risk teams to recommend interventions and identify training needs.

  • Strong observation and communication skills — both verbal and written.
  • Confident in providing feedback and coaching to others in a constructive, professional manner.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently across multiple depots and shifts.
